Introduction: basic posing

Welcome to our training for starting talented fashion models.

In this basic training we will go through some basic positions that are essential for taking great pictures.

We'll share some tips and tricks to make the poses look as natural as possible and cover some important do's and don'ts.

Training: At Home.

1 Standing pose

The standing pose is the most basic pose and a must-have for any aspiring fashion model. Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands resting on your hips.

2 The 'S' curve

The S curve is a pose where the body is bent in the shape of an S. This is a good pose to use if you want to accentuate your curves. Place one hand on your hip and bend your knee slightly.

3 Sitting Pose

Sit with your legs crossed and lean on one elbow or rest your hands on your knees. This is a good pose to use if you want to emphasize your face or your legs.

4 Leaning pose

Lean against a wall or other solid surface with your hands on your hips. This is a good pose to use if you want to accentuate your waistline.


5 Hands behind the back

Place your hands behind your back and hold. This is a good pose to use if you want to emphasize your shoulders.

6 Feet crossed

Stand with your feet crossed and rest on one leg. Place one hand on your hip and bend your knee slightly. This is a good pose to use if you want to emphasize your waistline.

7 Hands in pockets

Put your hands in your pockets. This is a good pose to use if you want to appear casual and relaxed.


8 Side Pose

Lean sideways and place one hand on your hip. This is a good pose to use if you want to emphasize your waistline.

9 Kneeling pose

Get on your knees with your feet flat on the floor. Lean back and place your hands on your hips. This is a good pose to use if you want to emphasize your legs.

10 Reclining Pose

Lie on your back and rest your hands next to your body. This is a good pose to use if you want to emphasize your face.


Performance:
Let's practice these 10 poses now. We will start with the standing pose and go through each pose one by one.

Try to make each pose as natural as possible and use a mirror to practice a lot.
